What is a Gypsy Internet Marketer?

A Gypsy internet marketer is someone who travels from one fad to another, always chasing the 'next best thing'. This is a sure way to make sure you never stick to a plan so how do you expect to build a home on the internet?

Obviously if you are 'rootless' you never settle anywhere and so you travel from one programme to another leaving a lot of dead hopes and dreams around you. This is my definition of Gypsy internet marketing.

Why do I know this?

Because I've been there and done that. And if I don't ask myself my questions before doing a click and submit, I would continue to do it. This is something all newbie and intermediate marketing operators have to be extremely aware of and resist at all times. The cost of this type of marketing is simply too expensive.

The question I have to ask myself several times day is this:"Is this moving me forward?" More often than not, the honest answer is "No." Then the discipline has to kick in and I hit the home button to start again doing what I originally intended to do before being led astray. It's a good question if you are honest enough to answer it honestly to yourself. Try it sometime.

It's not only all those ebooks and software programmes sitting on your hard drive housing dust mites, its the time factor that you are really robbing yourself of. Time is the one irreplaceable thing all humans have and if you are spending your time migrating around the various quick and not so quick marketing methods then you are seriously cheating yourself.

I finally woke up and realised that I have been cheating myself for a few years too because I refused to have to learn some technical basics that I finally figured out I couldn't do without. I actually believed some gurus who assured me I didn't need to know certain aspects of web design like having my own website ~ Sound familiar yet?

Please understand one thing if nothing else you find in your travels today and that is this: There are no shortcuts. There is no magic formula. If you are going to work at something then you do need to know how to do it.

Gypsy internet marketing is not a viable option. Consistency, hard work and determination are requirements for the position.
